Living Rock Soupfest

The one thing that had the most impact on me through Hamilton 365 was coming to terms with the high number of people living on the margins, but equally, seeing the great number of organizations and individuals who give unselfishly of themselves in support of others.  The later were often referred to as "the unsung heros" in H365.

One organization that I have come to know quite closely is Living Rock.  Their tireless work and obvious love for their kids, over more than 20 years on the front line, simply takes my breath away.  So I greeted the offer to be a small part of Soupfest this year with real pleasure.

Here are some images of Living Rock kids who participated in their Fashion Show last August - these images will be displayed as posters at Soupfest.  This year it's at the Hamilton Convention Centre on Tuesday, Jan. 27th.  Come on out to a great event.

    Sorry, we have to ask.

Who?

Larry Strung is the photographer and author behind the Hamilton 365 project, completed on December 31st, 2008.  In that project, a different individual in Hamilton was photographed each day of the year, and on the very day they were shot they were presented to the project website.

If you wish to see the original project, it is still on line at http://hamilton365.com.

I am looking for my brother that I have not seen in 25 years. I heard that your ay have taken a picture of hi or the news media ay have done an atricle on him. He lives on the street in Hamilton and sometimes other cities. His name is Tom Kelly (Tommy). If anyone has seen my brother or know his where abouts, I would be grateful for a reply. I am his baby sister and need to see him again before we leave this life! Thank you!
