Doug & Dave

Doug Massey's new play premiers tomorrow night at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  It's called River Song, and it's been billed as a modern day West Side Story.  As with all of Doug's plays to date, it's based on life on the streets in Hamilton, and this time draws it's main theme from street gangs.

Dave Lane is the Executive Director of the John Howard Society, the organization that has sponsored the play as part of it's 60th anniversary celebration.  Like West Side Story, this is a musical that has an edge to it.  The show is playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week.  It'll be worth your attention.

Oh, and the tag on the wall behind them with the 5 pointed crown states, "Hamilton Blood Soldiers - For Life".  I found it on a building at the end of our street...

Who?

Larry Strung is the photographer and author behind the Hamilton 365 project, completed on December 31st, 2008.  In that project, a different individual in Hamilton was photographed each day of the year, and on the very day they were shot they were presented to the project website.
